Today we’re going to do a great alkaline juicing recipe. I want to talk a little bit about juicing and how easy it actually is. Some people thing juicing can be very complicated, but you don’t need a gazillion ingredients. You can use four or five ingredients. You can even use one or two. How to clean your garbage disposal easily, simply and naturally

Dr. Maiysha Clairborne
image
b2ap3_thumbnail_heart378.png
b2ap3_thumbnail_women8.png

I learned this tip on a TV program some time ago! You take a lemon and you don't have to use a whole lemon, unless it's going. So if you've already squeezed the lemon, used it in tea, etc. .. it's the rind you want. Simply drop the rind into your garbage disposal, turn your water on, then turn your garbage disposal on. You'll know when the rind is completely finished because it will no longer be making a rumbling sound, but will sound more smooth and you'll have a fresh lemon aroma, as well. It's the acids form the lemon and the rind that get rid of all that crud, build up and aroma from all the other foods you put down the garbage disposal.

b2ap3_thumbnail_Wellness-Blueprint.jpg

How many times have you dreamed of a day of pampering and then thought "Oh that’s too expensive!" or "I need to use that money to pay my ____ bill?" It’s easy to neglect ourselves simply because we think that we cannot afford luxury. I’ve got something very radical to tell you! Pampering is NOT a luxury, it is a necessity. Here’s another little secret: Pampering doesn’t have to cost a fortune. Seeing your worth, and making your commitment to self a priority is key to managing your stress and having your life work for you. Though pampering does not have to cost a fortune, you should not be afraid to spend a little money on yourself now and again. Many times when we feel devalued, it’s because we are not properly valuing ourselves. However, for more practical and consistent pampering, I have comprised a short list of things that you can do for under $50 dollars.

GABA is a neurotransmitter. Neurotransmitters are chemicals that are produced in the brain that allow the nerve cells to communicate with each other. They have a lot to do with regulating the mood and the different systems of the body. There are two types of neurotransmitters - those that excite things and those that inhibit, or slow down, things. GABA falls into the category of relaxation, or inhibitory, neurotransmitters. So what is GABA, what does it do?

Today, we are going to make a banana batido. The origin of the batido is Cuban. It's a Cuban smoothie, or milkshake, but it's usually made a huge amount of cream and whole milk, and really fattening. But if you love bananas and love Cuban food like I do, you've got to make it healthy. I'm so into turning not-so-healthy recipes into healthy recipes, so let's get started.

Be 100% Responsible for Your Career

Dr. Maiysha Clairborne

b2ap3_thumbnail_heart378.png
b2ap3_thumbnail_women8.png

In the month of January, we’re taking 100 percent responsibility for our lives and our happiness. This week we’re challenged to bring that principle to our careers and the workplace. Are you happy with what you do at work? Do you bring a passion to the workplace? Are you satisfied with your career choice? Are you financially satisfied with where you are in your company? If you answered “no,” to any of these, it might be time for a change. That doesn’t necessarily mean you have to go and quit your job or close your business. It just means it’s time to think of ways to bring more fulfillment into what you do. Create a passion, so to speak. If you must be at work for eight to ten hours a day, you may as well love what you do. Much like with your spouses or significant others, your career is like a marriage.
